The #1 hack changing my life at the moment

This is step one of building your Leadership

—Daily check-in with myself—

We are all busy. Driven.
We work hard on our favorite projects.

We want more:
More impact. Connection. Ambition. Money.

Don’t get me wrong, this is amazing! The fire in your belly is the best asset you have.

Yet, hustle often comes at a high cost for ourselves

We run
We don’t stop
We forget ourselves

Worst, we burn out

The reason for that:
We keep ignoring what’s happening inside

The emotions, the feelings.

Your body knows better. Always.

It speaks to you. But you’ve got to listen

So here’s my tip to you:

Check in daily with yourself💆

As often as I can, I take 10min to pause in the morning:

  • I go in a room

  • Ground myself

  • Feel my feet on the floor

  • Take deep and slow breaths

And when I start feeling what’s happening inside, I send a voice memo to myself on WhatsApp.

IT CHANGED MY LIFE

I share how I feel, how I’m doing and I acknowlegdge what my body is saying.

  • Am I rushed?

  • Am I grounded?

  • Am I stressed or angry?

For so long, I ignored my body
For so long, I buried the fears and anxieties

I avoided them at all cost because they scared me.

Then I met Elise and her concept of Embodied Leadership.

She taught me how to pause, how to re-connect with myself. Using songs and movement.

Leadership starts with you☝️

You can’t lead others, if you aren’t attuned to yourself first.

So, start small. Take a pause. Try to feel.

What is happening right here? Right now.
Inside

That’s what we did with Elise during 4 months:

Try it:

Take a pause
Put a song
Feel

Start moving with it

There’s so much to share about this, but for now, remember:

It’s not about change, it’s about acknowledging what’s there

Whatever it is.

Emotions will keep shouting until you listen, anyway

Change always starts with awareness.

So again, dear friend, start with yourself. And if you ever need help, reach out to me, or to Elise.

To your growth,
Jean
