- What are your convictions?
What are your convictions?
You can't lead without convictions. Your convictions will tell me whether I'll follow you or not.

Whatever you want to achieve in life, you need strong convictions
To become a leader and build a following
To move up the ladder in your organisation
To become an entrepreneur and sell products/services
Your convictions are like a filter
They draw people in or draw people out🔁
They're polarizing the world around you
Towards you or away from you🔁
If you stand for nothing, how can people stand with you?
You need conviction for yourself:
.With no convictions, you are without a North star
.You don't have a inner compass to help you make decision
You need convictions for others:
.With no convictions, people don't know where to locate you on their mental map
Can they trust you?
Are you a good person to follow?
Are you the right partner for them?
Can they give you that new promotion?
In my career, people with no convictions never got the jobs they wanted.
I only got promotions when I had strong convictions for my organization or my industry: the vision I sold to my managers provided the trust they needed to give me the job
Your convictions and your vision are what will make the difference in your life
You either stand for something,
or you stand for nothing
Be intentional
1️⃣ Decide what you stand for
2️⃣ Repeat it, all the time
A conviction starts with: "I believe that ..." Or "I stand for..."
The more polarizing, the better (look at Trump…)
Again: people are either in or out.
Here are my convictions:
I stand for people
I believe that we all have a lot to bring to the world
I believe that anyone has tremendous capacities inside and that my job is to help them see and realize those
I believe that it is our job as leaders to create the right environment for those people to thrive
I believe that my mission is to help other people find that spark within themselves that will ignite their inner genius
Here are more polarizing convictions:
I believe salt is good for you
I believe you need more animal proteins
I believe the government doesn’t know what’s good for me or my kids
I believe meat consumption is our best chance to reverse climate change
Can you feel it? You are either in, or out?
Your turn, tell me: what are your convictions?
For real, answer this message and tell me what do you stand for.
